Dental Care

Dog with Toothbrush

Dental disease is very common in dogs and cats. The most common problem is tartar buildup on the teeth. This can cause bad breath, recession of the gingiva as well as lead to loose or abscessed teeth. A dental cleaning is often needed to protect your pets teeth from disease. During your pet's dental procedure they will be under full anesthesia so we are able to clean the teeth properly and create a stress free experience for your pet. We electrically scale and polish the teeth, flush the mouth to remove tartar and bacteria, as well as apply a fluoride treatment. We also offer digital dental radiographs. These are used to assess the health of the teeth under the gumline. If a tooth is deemed unhealthy we are able to extract the tooth right then while your pet is under anesthesia.
